President's Message

Greetings fellow Whartonites!

After a long, Covid-induced slumber, the Wharton Club of Colorado is back! The Club has a new, reinvigorated board and we’re ready to carry on the vision of the WCoC’s founding President, Lauren Sveen. Lauren founded the club with the fundamental goal of boosting the collective power of the Wharton network in Colorado, which is exactly what we will endeavor to achieve as we re-launch the club.

We encourage you to visit the updated website (www.whartonclubofcolorado.com) and sign up for email updates.  Also, please check out the “Events” tab.  We have a kick-off cocktail event scheduled for February 22nd at Local Jones in Cherry Creek that will include appetizers and one complimentary cocktail.  This will be a fantastic opportunity to meet your new board members and reconnect with old friends.  Also, we have a speaker event with Wharton Vice Dean Mauro Guillen for his book The Perennials scheduled for April 3rd (more details to come shortly).  And finally, we’re hoping to plan a ski day to Breck (unsponsored by the club) and will be narrowing down a date based on your collective feedback (again, more details to come shortly).

As we build momentum over the next few months, we’ll be reaching out to you with an annual membership plan.  We hope you’ll strongly consider becoming a member, as your membership dues provide the foundation for a strong and prosperous club.

We can’t wait to (re)connect with the Rockies Wharton community.  We hope you’ll consider participating in the events we have planned so far and we look forward to hearing your input on other events we can do as a Club.

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Regards,

Linda Bernier
