Is Sherpa a vocation, or a family name? Do all Sherpas climb Everest - even women? A presentation by Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, one of the strongest climbers in the world!

The “Sherpa Night” will be presented at the Sherpa House in Golden (probably the best replica of a Sherpa house in North America), with an authentic “Sherpa” dinner and a presentation by Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, one of the strongest climbers in the world.  Not only has she climbed Everest, but also very impressively recently conquered the most difficult and dangerous mountain in the world - K2 - where one out of every four climbers gets killed.  Interestingly, Pasang’s biggest fear on the expedition was not the mountain, but a potential attack by the Talibans.  Click here for more information on: http://www.elevationoutdoors.com/pasang-lhamu-sherpa-akita/

Karsang Sherpa, WG04, will give a brief introduction to “Sherpa”.
