sveen.jpgLauren Mitchell Sveen, WG'90 (Board Chair)
An active participant with Wharton alumni groups for more than 20 years, Lauren launched and has led the Wharton Club of Colorado since 2009. She also started the networking group Denver Women in Business (now Colorado Ivy+ Women) and was a founding member of both the Duke Women’s Colorado Forum and the national Wharton Women in Business.

Lauren is also owner and president of Corps Team Denver, a workplace consultancy and boutique talent acquisition firm, specializing in connecting high-growth firms with high-caliber talent. She was a finalist for the "Outstanding Woman in Business" award and her business was nominated for the "Company of the Year" award in Colorado. Lauren has been a speaker at the Wharton Women in Business conference in Philadelphia, and been featured on CBS and NBC in Colorado, talking about trends in the workplace. Lauren writes a monthly column titled "Working It Out" in the Denver Post, is a regular contributor to the CoBiz online magazine, and was featured in People magazine, WSJ and USA Today for her early entrepreneurial ventures. She is a sought-after speaker on employment trends, work/life integration and personal re-branding.

 

Andy_Lee_2.jpegAndy Lee, WG’08 (Treasurer)

Andy is a California native to ended up in Denver after making a few stops in Boston, Texas, Norway and New York. Professionally, Andy has been in oil and gas his entire career, first as an engineer for ExxonMobile and then in private equity and finance post-Wharton. Outside of work, Andy enjoys skiing, Crossfit and ice hockey.

Since earning her BS of Economics from Wharton in 1990, Dare has enjoyed developing people and companies through building meaningful relationships, team collaboration and strategic business perspective in the US and Europe. Dare most recently joined People Programs Group to help people transform who they are from within to become uncommonly effective and to help them adapt, advance and thrive in all stages of their lives and careers. To create awareness for impact-driven local iniatives, she became an Ambassador for The Gathering Place, a founding member of Global Impact Ventures Network, a Speaker for Ellevate Network and a Baord Advisor for Estaine. To help Alumni connect with each other and build meaningful relationships, Dare serves on the boards of the Wharton Club of Colorado and Colorado Ivy+ Women.

Lindsay has been a Wharton Board Member since 2011 and leads our initiatives to connect with members through social media, email communications and our website. Lindsay is a Colorado native that moved back to Denver after working as consultant in New York and Boston and in eCommerce in Seattle. She is currently the Director of Product for Motili, a tech start-up that connects commercial property owners with contractors who service their properties. Lindsay spends most of her free time in the mountains skiing and biking.

Jessica has spent 15 years building enterprise and consumer software companies, focusing on revenue generation, marketing program implementation and enterprise sales enablement. Currently consulting with startups, she has held positions with KPMG, Novartis, Rally Software and served as cofounder of two startups. She and her husband live, work and play in Boulder.

 

Tom.pngThomas Tyree, Jr. (Board Advisor)

Thomas Tyree, Jr. is co-founder, President, and Chief Financial Officer of Vantage.  He was appointed as a member of our board of directors in May 2014.  Mr. Tyree served as President, Chief Financial Officer, and member of the boards of managers of Vantage I and Vantage II since their founding dates in 2006 and 2012, respectively.  Prior to co-founding Vantage I, he was Chief Financial Officer of Bill Barrett Corporation from 2003-2006 with responsibility for finance, treasury, accounting, internal audit and other functions for this NYSE-listed oil and gas exploration and production company. While at Bill Barrett Corporation, Mr. Tyree served as primary liaison with the company’s three private equity sponsors and led several acquisitions and financings, including the initial public offering of its shares.  Prior to joining Bill Barrett Corporation, Mr. Tyree served as a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. from 1989 – 2003, where he was involved in merger and acquisition, financing, and private equity transactions and at different times held leadership positions in the firm’s U.S. upstream, Canadian energy, and technology business-to-business efforts. Mr. Tyree began his career in finance with Bankers Trust Company in 1983 as an Associate in Corporate Finance.  Mr. Tyree holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Finance (honors) and Entrepreneurial Management and a B.A. from Colgate University in Economics (honors) and Philosophy.

Ellen is Principal of the Robinson Coaching Group (RCG), an executive coaching practice she launched in 2012. She works with professionals across industry and civic and community organizations to guide their leadership development and personal growth. Ellen founded RCG upon a successful track record of leadership in both Fortune 100 and entrepreneurial companies including Frito-Lay, Pepsi Cola, Ascent Sports (Colorado Avalanche / Denver Nuggets), EventConnex (her own technology start-up) and ScholarCentric (K-12 educational publishing).
