Our first event last October was a hit! Women in every stage of career, family, and life who are graduates (all majors and disciplines) of Ivy+ universities are invited to join us at Lower48 Kitchen!
Our first event last October was a hit, and it’s time to put the next gathering on the calendar!
Lower48 Kitchen is a brand new restaurant co-owned by Mario Nocifera and Alex Figura, previously with Frasca Food & Wine in Boulder. We would like to thank David Zucker, a Wharton MBA and Principal, Director of Development of Zocalo Development. David paved the way through a personal introduction to Mario and his team, who have been very welcoming and responsive to our needs. Zocalo developed this building and several projects in this area.
Here are more details about the restaurant!
During the event, we invite you to learn about and support The Gathering Place, Denver's only daytime drop-in center for women, children, and transgender individuals who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. This incredible organization not only provides meals, shelter and childcare, it also helps women get back on their feet through other services like job training, GED tutoring and Bridget's Boutique. Greeting cards made by the women at the shelter through The Card Project will be available for purchase and direct donations are welcome.
We would also like to encourage you to develop relationships with Ivy+ women by taking advantage of the option to stay for dinner with a smaller group after the event concludes. If you would like to reserve a spot for dinner at your own cost, please also select the optional, 'free' ticket as part of your EventBrite registration.

Please share this invitation! Graduates of all majors and disciplines are welcome, as are women in every stage of career, family and life. ‘Ivy Plus’ refers to the eight Ivy League schools and peer selective institutions. We look forward to seeing you and to continuing to create a community of learned women who love to learn, connect, and lead!
Would you like to lead? Please look for our sign-up table at the event to indicate your interest in helping to develop this group over the coming year. We're looking to form a Steering Committee, and to identify a dedicated point of contact to share information with each local alumni club. If you have a great idea for a future event, we'd love your help in organizing!
